This post is a heads up and by no means a sob story as I’ll be getting my money back eventually
In the recent past, I’ve attempted to purchase a 4070Ti Super on a couple occasions for about $650-680.
In both instances, the sellers used PayPal G&S and created a shipping label but never dropped the item off for shipping. I’ve been providing a very generous 2 week “grace period” before requesting my money back on PayPal.
An orange flag on both of these sellers was their lack of previous confirmed transactions. In hindsight, the price is probably bordering the “too good to be true” zone as well, though I have seen that card go for as low as $5-600 sometimes on r/hardwareswap.
The sellers did follow Reddit best practices with timestamped images and everything. They knew what they were doing.
Anyway, just a PSA to watch out for these goons. They’re both going on the universal scammer list once I get my money back on PayPal.
